First Shot At Light Snow Accumulations For Some Thursday Night

We will discuss in fuller context tomorrow, but a sinking upper level disturbance will bring the chance for wintry mix or snow to some Thursday night into Friday morning. Accumulations will be limited across the valley, while higher terrain locations will see a better shot.

For the central valley: a dusting (mainly on grassy/elevated surfaces) will be possible
For the northern valley/bordering KY: dusting to an inch is possible
Plateau: 0.5-2" possible with most generally in the 0.5-1" bracket
Foothills: 0.5-2"
Smokies: 3-6" with locally higher amounts
