After a fairly dry month of March, the saying "April showers bring May flowers" has been true. Rainfall for the month with look to grow another 1-3 inches over the next 7 days. There will be two main systems, one arrives late tonight and into Saturday and the other Sunday night and into Monday. Both could bring isolated instances of thunder, but no severe weather is to be expected. Looking through the weekend, showers and a few storms arrive tonight and carry into Saturday before drying out towards the middle of the afternoon. Another system and associated cold front will then press through Sunday night and into Monday. This looks to be the better opportunity for rainfall, before drier conditions prevail Monday evening and through midweek. Longer term outlooks anticipate near seasonable norms for temperature while below seasonable norms for rainfall (not shown) are suggested. With a few inches expected over the next week, this should help offset drier conditions the later part of the month.
