Quiet and pleasant to start the day off as temperatures (10:30 am) range from the low to mid 40s. We will continue our warming trend, with highs this afternoon peaking in the mid and upper 50s. Sunshine will also stick around, with nearly no clouds across the whole state this morning. That said, high clouds will begin filling back in late this afternoon and in through the overnight hours. Temperatures will continue warming through mid week, but showers take shape once again. An approaching cold front will bring increased cloud cover tonight and Tuesday, before showers find the area Wednesday and Wednesday night. The bulk of rainfall will be across the Mid Mississippi Valley, but up to a quarter of an inch is possible across East Tennessee. The bulk of activity will come Wednesday and Wednesday night, but isolated shower chances can't be ruled out Thursday and Friday as well. That will round out this forecast...things will generally stay quiet and warm through Wednesday, before showers along a cold front bring cooler temperatures Friday and into the weekend.
