A much cooler start to the work week following the cold front that moved through Sunday. Lucky for us, lots of sun accompany the colder temperatures making it feel a little better out. If you can make it through today, much warmer temps are on the way. To start, we have a high pressure system sitting on the Kentucky/ Ohio border allowing us to have plentiful sunshine today. This High will move out relatively quick before another arrives from our south. This will allow us to continue having sunny skies, while also warming back up into the 70's by mid week. There is some discrepancy within the model runs and NWS reports about the chance for some light moisture Tuesday afternoon. Do not rule out the chance for a very brief and light rain shower tomorrow afternoon. This will entirely depend on the moisture values in our area being pulled in tomorrow. Nevertheless, it does not hurt to be aware of the chance, even if brief and light. Besides the possibility tomorrow afternoon, we can expect most sunny skies today, Wednesday, and Thursday. Clouds will begin building this evening and into tomorrow, before clearing out, as the low (seen above to the east of Georgia) moves farther off the coast and to the north. Another round of rain will arrive late Thursday into Friday. I will let you know what more you can expect mid-week ahead of this next system. For you cold weather lovers, enjoy a taste of cooler temperatures today before we are back to short sleeve weather mid week.
