Another gorgeous day ahead, with mostly sunny skies and highs above average. Dry weather continues into Thursday, before cloud cover increases the latter half of the day and through Friday. An approaching cold front will allow for showers to overspread the area by Friday evening/night, with a brief transition to wintry mix possible for some Friday night into Saturday morning. With colder air building in behind the boundary, those in the higher terrain that can better tap into this changing air mass will have the best opportunity for wintry mix, while valley locations will generally see a few wet flakes without consequence. Higher terrain locations (plateau/foothills) could see light accumulations into Saturday morning. As hinted at, temperatures to be much cooler behind this system, with highs in the 40s both Saturday and Sunday. Pre-recorded for 5pm weather broadcast
