We are starting the morning off with a little cloud cover, but overall nothing that won't clear out by late morning. As we progress through the day, sunshine will be the main feature but clouds do make a return by tonight and into the weekend. Checking out the afternoon temperatures, highs will be a bit cooler today. With the passage of a cold front (now to our east), highs will range from the low to mid 60s. We do rebound by Sunday afternoon with highs nearing 80 degrees. This will be short lived though, as another cold front looks to blast through bringing cooler air Monday and much of the work week next week. Looking at model guidance, a brief shower is possible for counties bordering KY tonight, otherwise most stay dry. Cloud cover increases through the day tomorrow with isolated showers in the afternoon. Better rain chances arrive for Sunday with a few thunderstorms mixed in as well. That continues into Monday before once again drying back out Tuesday and early Wednesday. Overall, the pattern ahead is active. Multiple rounds of weather makers will impact the region today through next week. Cooler than average air will also continue to haunt us with the exception being Sunday due to a warm front moving across the Tennessee Valley. With that said, enjoy what dry weather we have today and into tomorrow before showers and storms arrive Sunday and Monday. Have a great weekend and don't forget to check out our daily video forecast below. Pre-recorded for 5pm show
