A few strong storms are possible tomorrow afternoon, with damaging wind gusts the primary threat. The chances are low, but not ruled out. The bigger risk will be in gusty winds throughout Friday and into early Saturday morning. Gusts up to 40 or even 50 mph are possible, with higher gusts in the steeper terrain. Following the exit of our next system Saturday afternoon, briefly drier conditions find us Sunday. A wintry system then presses through, where light snowfall accumulations are possible Sunday night through Tuesday morning. At this time, confidence remains medium for at least light accumulations across East Tennessee. The biggest threat will come in temperatures. Highs could struggle to top the 30 mark Monday through Wednesday, with overnight lows in the teens to single digits. Additionally, wind chills could feel closer to zero or even below.
