Clouds increase today, as mainly rainfall arrives overnight and through Saturday. Showers, associated with a second disturbance, will taper off into Sunday morning with drier air filling in through Monday. We will even see a fair amount of sunshine the first half of the day Monday, before another disturbance arrives Monday night into Tuesday. This later one will be quite strong, bringing widespread rain, possibly a few rumbles of thunder, and very breezy winds. Sustained winds between 15 and 25 mph are possible, with gusts between 30 and 45 mph. The higher terrain could achieve much higher winds, with all expectations a high wind warning is issued for the peaks of the Smokies Monday night.
