A quick moving system arrives tonight, bringing widespread rainfall to East Tennessee. As colder air filters in, a brief transition to wintry mix is possible late tonight/early Sat, with the higher terrain having the highest probability. As such, the plateau and foothills could see light snowfall accumulations, while only a few wet flakes are expected here in the valley. Skies clear back up through Saturday, with sunshine in full force Sunday to early next week. Much cooler air finds us tomorrow, with highs in the low 40s, followed by mid and upper 40s Sunday, and back above average into the upcoming work week.
