Good morning and what a beautiful start to the day it has been! Temperatures are currently sitting in the upper 50s, with sunshine expected to hang around today. Temperatures will remain on the warm side, topping out in the low to mid 80s. As we get into mid week (Wednesday), temperatures will continue their climb. Looking at the comparison to average temperatures for this time of the year, we will be running 5-10 degrees warmer. The average high in Knoxville for early to mid May is 78 degrees. With that said, highs tomorrow will be running in the mid to upper 80s. I would not be shocked for a location of two to break the 90 mark either. Longer term, the Climate Prediction Center suggests we stay near to slightly above average temperature wise, while near to slightly above normal precipitation can be expected. For all you Ag folk, it looks like we have finally passed our cold dips and planting season can officially begin. Not to worry though, many folks have had a late start, and there remains plenty of time this year. Enjoy these above average temperatures and sunshine, before showers and isolated storms return Friday and the weekend. Don't forget to give us a follow if you don't already!
