Another dry and warm day on tap, with highs soaring well above average (and even further for Thursday). Our next weather maker doesn't arrive until late Thursday night into Friday, bringing widespread rainfall and a few thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall will be possible for some, especially within thunderstorms or in areas that see continuous rain. As of now, the Weather Prediction Center has placed much of the area under a Slight (15% chance or greater) risk of flash flooding. Those in common flood prone areas should take precautions and prepare now, while all should be aware and have a way to receive alerts if they are issued. We'll keep you updated, but for now, enjoy the heat and dry weather. Pre-recorded for 5pm weather broadcast
