Good late-morning to all! It has been gorgeous thus far and that trend will continue, not only this afternoon, but also into Tuesday. A look at the Stansfield Webcam below shows not even a cloud in the sky. High pressure is locked in just to our north and east, leading to pristine conditions. With high pressure in place warm temperatures will also funnel into the area. Looking at the official forecast from the National Weather Service, highs Tuesday and Wednesday will top out in the 60s to low 70s. Similarly, lows will be in the upper 30s to low 40s tonight, and low to upper 40s overnight Wednesday. How do these temperatures compare to our normal average? They are well above the norm, with some locations around the region upwards of 15 degrees above average. Knoxville typically has an average of 62 for this time of the year and highs Wednesday could reach as high as 72 for Knoxville and surround valley locations. Though we aren't near record highs, it is still noteworthy. Changes arrive Thursday as a front brings cooler air along with showers. Highs will make a return to the 40s and 50s this weekend as showers begin clearing out Friday. For now take advantage and enjoy these wonderful conditions! Pre-recorded for 5pm show
