After a recent dry spell, showers begin pushing back in tonight and through Friday. Prior to then, very warm temperatures are on tap today with highs in the upper 70s and even a few lower 80s. We begin cooling down tomorrow with widespread showers and a few storms. A couple of storms could even become strong or severe with locally heavy rainfall possible Friday afternoon. Showers taper off by Saturday morning, where a second cold front slides through Sunday. Much cooler air then filters in to start off the new work week next week. Highs will return to the lower 50s, with lows in the 20s and 30s the first half of next week. Pre-recorded for 5pm weather broadcast
