Very cold temperatures to start off the morning, with many between -5 and 5 degrees. Wind chills values are closer to -10 degrees, but warmer air is forthcoming. We will see highs reach the mid and upper 20s today, with upper 30s to near 40 degrees possible tomorrow. This is only temporary though, as another cold arctic blast arrives Friday into the weekend. A tricky system will bring a rain or freezing rain mix initially Thursday evening/night (thanks to a column of warm air aloft), transitioning to all snow late in the night/early Friday morning. As such, a concern for slick road ways/light icing is possible- especially with linger snow/ice from our most recent system. Snowfall will be minimal, generally a dusting across the valley to 1-2" in the higher plateau to foothills terrain. Stay tuned for further updates with this tricky system and stay warm!
