A fairly average morning across East Tennessee with temperatures as of 9:30 in the mid 40s. These will warm quite nicely, in the upper 50s to low 60s this afternoon. If you think that's warm, just wait. Looking at the latest satellite view, the southeast is under mainly sunny skies while the remainder of the area has cloud cover to some degree. Cloud cover will set in over the next several hours from the west, as an upper level disturbance passes by our friends to our north (in KY). We should stay rain-free today, but a sprinkle or two can't be entirely ruled out for counties bordering KY. Fast forwarding to Thursday and Friday, highs will be well above average. How above average? How about 15 to 20 degrees above. Check out temperatures compared to norms. States to our west could be as warm as 25 degrees above average, while we top out in the mid and upper 60s (even a few 70s on Friday). These will decrease some into the weekend, but generally warm air sticks around until at least early next week. That will do it for today, other than some broken cloud cover your Hump Day should be mild. Temperatures warm tomorrow and Friday, making for excellent days to get out and about if you have the chance. Have a great one and don't forget to follow us on Twitter/Facebook if you don't already. Pre-recorded for 5pm show
